Due to the continued growth in traffic, the port has begun to reorganize various terminal areas. More specifically, the VTR area, which manages empty containers, has been moved to the outside of the Terminal. Doing so has allowed the import/export areas to gain new space, and, at the same time, has simplified reentry operations. The VTR area is run by Gruppo Spinelli.
