Sustainability
Sustainability is fast becoming an essential component of modern corporate businesses, and the world of containerised shipping and logistics is no exception. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies are now a fundamental requirement for all organisations, especially those seeking bank loans or institutional investments.
In this context, the goal of the PSA group is to raise awareness of the issues and challenges related to these issues in the port and logistics sector and how the industry is committed to addressing them. PSA has, among other initiatives, established a climate task force at its headquarters to coordinate initiatives in its global portfolio, particularly those related to greenhouse gases, energy, water and waste.
PSA Italy has also been committed for some time to problems relating to ESG issues, which are monitored through the annual Sustainability Report, of which you will find a copy below. The report is also supported by the video in the header on this page, focused on the salient sustainable activities within the three terminals, further proof of the fact that for PSA Italy, development is not imaginable if it does not go hand in hand with 360-degree protection of the territory surrounding the organisation, in economic, environmental and social terms.
The PSA Italy Forest is born!
PSA Italy terminals have decided to collaborate with B Corp Treedom for the planting of trees in different areas of the world, with the aim of bringing not only environmental, but also economic and social benefits.
