The Terminal has initiated the Truck Management System, a system that optimizes container pick-up by truck drivers during peak hours. In times of high influx, drivers are directed towards a buffer area within the Terminal where they can wait for an SMS message with the details of their pick-up.

This prevents backup in the service area with better traffic flow and general safety improvement. At the same time, operation times are reduced: the drivers, in fact, have already taken care of all formalities and are inside the Terminal ready for pick-up, whereas before they had to wait outside the operational area.
