PSA Genova Pra’ Welcomes the Renewed MD2 Service
On May 14, the NYK OWL, operated by the Ocean Network Express Line, once again stopped-over at the PSA GP Terminal.
The NYK OWL is not new to the Genova Pra’ terminal. This is its sixth visit since 2019. The NYK OWL and its “sister vassels” form a fleet of ships with a capacity of more than 14,000 TEU, a length of 365 meters and a width of 50 meters.
What’s new is the reorganization of the MD2 service of The Alliance group that the ship operates under.
One arrival will take place on Tuesday evening, which is aimed at better serving the Italian and international market that looks to the south for supply of goods (Call West Bound).
And another will take place on Thursday (Call East Bound) to more quickly connect Italian and Southern European production with the main end markets of Made in Italy and Made in Europe on the route between West Med and the Far East.
The service’s rotation is the following: Pusan, Qindao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohshiung, Shekou, Singapore, Pireus, La Spezia, PSA Genova Pra’, Fos, PSA Genova Pra’, Pireus, Singapore, Hong Kong.
The consortium The Alliance is made up of Hapag Lloyd, Yang Ming and Ocean Network Express, three global operators that, from the beginning, have chosen PSA Genova Pra’ as their terminal of choice for operating Ultra Large Container Vessels in the Port of Genoa and in the Mediterranean.
