During the month of March 2016 the PSA Voltri-Pra Terminal moved 118,100 TEU, registering a new record of traffic through the Terminal since its opening in 1994. The previous record dated back to October 2015.

The new record has been obtained thanks to the continued support received from all the Shipping Lines that choose PSA Voltri-Pra as their favoured port. The record is particularly significant because it was reached despite the cancellation of some loads due to the holiday period of the Chinese New Year, and also because the approach of the quay have been temporarily reduced for the testing in progress of the new cranes, which arrived on the 29 February.

Encouraged by these results the PSA Voltri-Pra Terminal is continuing in its preparation to be able to operate the latest generation of container ships (up to 20,000 TEU) within the next few months.
